Welcome back! A little late to post but I just didn’t have as much time to do some minor edits that had to be done, though it’s here now. It was kind of a light week anyways because of the holiday, though this coming week we have both the Game Awards and PSX so hopefully we’ll have plenty of trailers to talk about next episode.
There were a ton of gaming and TV deals over Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and while I was super tempted to pick up a 4K TV I decided just to wait. I’m actually more interested in getting a 2TB SSHD for my PS4 Pro, but they’re currently out of stock everywhere.
What about you? Did you pick up anything that was discounted? Let us know in the comments below!
Welcome back! It’s been an interesting week with Ubisoft saying they’re going to move away from scripted narratives in their games, also some Watch Dogs 2 easter eggs that could hint at future Ubisoft titles.
We’ve also got Respawn unsure if there will be a Titanfall 3, but of course it is a little too early to tell. Meanwhile we got another delay for Persona 5.
Black Friday deals have been popping up online, and there are quite a few good ones out there. I’m waiting to see what Sony does on the PSN, especially since I’m waiting to get both Watch Dogs 2 and Dishonored 2.
What about you? Going to be picking up a lot of games on sale? Let us know in the comments below!
Welcome back! It’s another light week of news but since I got the PS4 Pro I am able to talk about that a bit, as well as discuss some of the issues other users have experienced.
There have also been a lot of Black Friday deals showing up early online, and there seem to be some pretty decent ones for gamers. I also saw that a lot of 4K TVs are getting discounted, but it really depends which ones have the least amount of input lag and still offer a good quality image. I’m still hoping some site comes out with a nice comparison chart for all of the different brands, but who knows how long that will take.
I’m hoping to get some more time in with different games on the Pro, that way I can have more of an opinion on the next episode. However my enjoyment of Battlefield 1 and Civ VI are probably going to get in the way of that. Luckily Digital Foundry has been really good about consistent PS4 Pro comparison videos, so people can check those out if they’re interested.
But what about you? Did you get a Pro? Let us know in the comments below!
Welcome back! It’s a short episode this week since there wasn’t much news to cover. I also haven’t finished the Dark Souls III DLC so I couldn’t spend any time discussing it. My time has been occupied with Civ VI and Battlefield 1, both of which are fantastic.
This week we’ll see the release of the PS4 Pro, which I’m hoping to pick up Friday. I’ll be able to try out a few of the games that offer extra 1080p detail and be able to discuss them on the next episode. I’m waiting for DICE to detail the PS4 Pro support for BF1 outside of just 4k. Though that game is pretty darn gorgeous already so I’m not sure what else they could do.
Are you picking up a Pro on Friday? Sound off in the comments below!
Here we are again with another episode, however Isli is off working hard on his costume so Xya and I will have to hold down the fort without him. There wasn’t a lot of news since everything seemed to happen last week. We did get the surprise announcement from Bethesda about their new review plan for future titles, which is interesting. I’ll be curious to see how this pans out for other developers.
Outside of gaming I’m really surprised this hasn’t turned into a Westworld podcast, but that’s mainly because neither of the other two watch the show. Which is a shame because it’s great, and episode five was so good.
Speaking of which how many of you are watching the show? Do you find yourselves enjoying it more as gamers? Let us know in the comments below!
We’re back after a week off and we’ve got two big announcements to discuss this episode. We actually speculate about the Nintendo Switch for a lot longer than I intended, but that’s fine since it’s always relevant to the gaming landscape. The more exciting news for me was the announcement of Red Dead Redemption 2, though that game is a year off which is a shame.
We also got a few new details about the PS4 Pro from a Mark Cerny interview, and hearing about more technical details is always exciting. Speaking of which that console is right around the corner and I’m looking forward to it.
But we want to hear what you were you excited about this past week. Let us know in the comments below!
Reviews for PSVR are out and the reception seems to be good. Of course we get the obvious ‘it’s not as good as the other ones’ but everyone knew that was the case. Only a handful of games that will be available at launch have been reviewed, and I’m curious how the other ones will turn out.
I don’t have a PSVR pre-ordered, but I never had the intention of doing so anyways. I will end up getting one eventually, but since Sony announced the Pro I’ve been more interested in that and a 4K TV. Of course that all comes down to how much support current games get via patches.
Have the reviews for the hardware and initial games got you excited? Are you still on the fence and waiting for that killer app? Let us know in the comments below!
It’s almost here! The press and some online personalities have already received their PSVR hardware and are currently using it. Though we’ll have to wait for the embargo to go up before we get any impressions or reviews of the headset. I don’t have one preordered myself since I figured I’d wait a bit after launch. Not to mention with Mafia and Rise of the Tomb Raider coming out soon I’ll be preoccupied with those. Granted I’m curious how well the theater mode for the headset will look.
Ubisoft has talked about the new development philosophy they’re taking with Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry. I’m really hoping they’re able to release one of those franchises in 2017, preferably Assassin’s Creed. It’s really strange not having a new entry this year.
PSX was also announced for early December in Anaheim CA. While I’d like to go, I did just go on a vacation to Disneyland only two weeks back so I’m not sure about spending that money currently. Especially since I’ll be getting the PSVR and a Pro so I’d rather do that, though I will of course watch it streamed.
What about you? Are you going to PSX this year? Let us know in the comments below!
