THQ and Mattel Having a Contest

Mattel, the creators of the WWE action figures, and THQ, the guys behind the Smackdown! series of games, have teamed up for a contest that ends in a couple weeks (on the 18th). Basically, you create a custom superstar, and if you win, that superstar will be made into an actual wrestling figure (but only one will ever be made). Be sure to read the rules on how to enter!

Hey wrestling fans, Marcus “the Hammer” Stephenson of THQ is doing WWE Raw recaps every week (starting today) over at the SVR Community blog. The big thing about this, though, is there will be contests to win prizes (hidden somewhere in the recap), and each article and prize will have some sort of tie to the Smackdown vs Raw games (you can read my review for 2011 here). Coca-Cola Instant Win Contest!

Remember back at E3, Sony announced that partnership with Coke? I don’t know about you, but I never heard or seen anything come to fruition from that. Until now. What started on November 1st was Coca-Cola’s instant win contest (which will run through December 31st), where a majority of the prizes are Sony products, or third party games for the PS3. The prizes include:
- Grand Prize
- 1 PS3 120GB system
- 2 Move Controllers
- 1 PlayStation Eye Camera
- 1 Game (Sports Champions, TRON, NBA 2K11, or EA Sports Active 2)

Now you might have heard that Subway and Sony are going to be running a little promo where you can win a ton of great prizes. Well it doesn’t seem like they are just stopping there. GameStop Gridiron Game Changers Sweepstakes

About a week or two late, but GameStop is currently running a sweepstakes for Madden NFL 11, with a prize some folks might want to try to get in on:
Today through Aug. 16, fans can text a weekly keyword from the “Madden Mondays” website to 65579 to be entered to win a VIP trip for two to the marquee EA SPORTS Madden NFL 11 launch event or the GameStop Madden NFL 11 tournament finals event. One entry per person per week.
“Madden Mondays” is a new feature that runs every Monday until the game’s launch next month. New content and videos will be released every week, as well as getting that keyword, giving gamers new insight and tips for the title.
