With the amount of games releasing on PSP and PS3 this late in their life cycle, and the nice surprise of a huge bump on Vita releases, it was only a matter of time before we added another full time writer to the site. Today, we want you to help us welcome Ceidz to the PS3blog.net staff! He’s been doing several reviews and posts for a while now (and doing a great job at it), so it makes sense to have him join the ranks.
Hi PS3Blog.net readers! I’m Ceidz.
I’ve lived as a gamer for as long as I can remember. Back in the days, I owned a NES and a SNES, and I remember being captivated by several games, especially JRPGs such as Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger, which are (still to this day), my two favorite games of all time!
I’m now in my early 30s, and I’m happily married to a lovely wife and have 4 wonderful daughters (including twins). I work in web development in the Montreal area, over north in Canada, and I’m a HUGE PlayStation fan. I own a PS3 and a PS Vita, and I plan to get a PS4 soon!
I’ve been following PS3Blog.net for a very long time, and I’ve been writing for it for a few years now. Being the die-hard JRPG fan that I am, you can expect heavy coverage for that type of games, as well as previews and reviews on all other genres.
[Event Coverage] Blizzcon 2013 & Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls Interview with Senior Level Designer Matthew Berger
Blizzard Entertainment’s wildly popular Blizzcon wrapped last weekend. During the con, attendees had a chance to play upcoming games, as well as the Diablo 3 expansion Reaper of Souls on the PlayStation 4 system. Representatives from Sony were on hand to showcase the upcoming port of Diablo 3 in a timed demo. The demo featured the new Crusader class available for the first time for people to test out and play.
I had a chance to interview Senior Level Designer Matthew Berger during my time at Blizzcon and we discussed a couple of the new elements being implemented in the PlayStation 4 version. The games features are broken down as follows.
Developed by WB Games Montréal, Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline set several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, the first two critically acclaimed games of the franchise. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous criminals, the game showcases a young and unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, players will meet many important characters for the first time and forge key relationships.
Inspired by the events of the DC Comics Batman: Knightfall saga, the exclusive PlayStation Knightfall Pack features:
Knightfall Batman Skin
Classic TV Series Batman Skin
You’ll fight Bane, Venom users, and Blackgate prisoners in a crime-ridden Gotham City, where Bane’s forces have seized control of several key locations where only Batman can stop them. Fight your way through three combat maps, stealth across two predator maps, and push yourself to the breaking point in a new challenge campaign.
Ceidz and I got a chance to review Atomic Ninjas, a fun game you can either enjoy in short burst or during longer periods of time and it will keep you coming back for more. Grip Games has provided us with THREE Cross-buy codes for Atomic Ninjas (That is, one code will unlock both the PS3 AND Vita versions for the game), and now you can try and win one!
Also, for those of you who are also PC gamers (or who know someone who does), Atomic Ninjas is currently going through the Steam Greenlight process, and you can vote for it here.
God has never had it so rough!
