PS3BlogCast Episode 152

Welcome back to another episode of the podcast, where this week we discuss a lot of the news that came out of PAX. Metal Gear Solid 5 got a release date, which I’m super excited about. We also got some other release dates as well as the announcement of the Wolfenstein standalone DLC.

I’m a big fan of games that have standalone DLC. I enjoyed it a lot with games on the PS3 and it’s good to see developers do that on the current consoles. I hope more people adopt that method with future titles.

I know what I was most excited about from PAX, but what about you guys? What did you like the most? Let us know in the comments below!

PS3BlogCast Episode 151

Welcome back to a delayed episode of last weeks podcast. Unfortunately our hosting site was having some issues, so I was unable to upload the file for two days. Better late than never!

Tune in this episode as we go over a bunch of DLC announcements as well as listen to MissXya tell us all about the Gold Saucer in Final Fantasy 14.

I know it’s not on this episode but I saw that Valve announced Source 2 at GDC. Hopefully that means there will be a game announcement from them at E3 this year. Half-Life 3? One could only hope.

PS3BlogCast Episode 150

Welcome back to another episode of the podcast, this week featuring the entire crew. It’s been another slow week of news, but we still manage to have a good length episode for you.

The Order 1886 came out this week to mixed reviews leaning towards the lower end. I haven’t put too much time into it yet, just a about two hours so I don’t have a fully formed opinion on it yet. It is a gorgeous game and I’m interested in where the story goes.

The Order has brought on a lot of debate about the length of video games. I feel like it really depends on the genre myself, but what about you? Do you like shorter games or longer games? Let us know in the comments below!

PS3BlogCast Episode 149

Welcome back to another episode of the podcast with the whole crew this week. There isn’t a lot of news but some interesting this happened, including the news that Bethesda will host their first ever E3 conference. There is a lot of speculation that they could reveal Fallout 4, which would be really exciting.

Dyling Light is getting an update that will increase the difficulty at night. I’m holding off on playing more until that patch hits since the night play is a little easy at the moment.

Evolve also came out this week to a mix of high and medium reviews from the critics. I’d be interested in it if I had a full team to play with all the time, but other than that I don’t think I’ll pick it up at all. Perhaps when it’s discounted in the future and patched for balance.

What about you? Did you pick up Evolve? Looking forward to The Order this coming Friday? Let us know in the comments below!
