Releases for the Week (January 30th-February 5th)
Posted by EdEN in PLAYSTATION Store, PS3, PS3 software, PSN, PSP, PSP Go on January 30th, 2012
The last week of the month is here and we finally start to get more than one retail releases as publishers realize that we actually like to purchase games all year long (and not only during the holiday rush). The three retail releases bring something for everyone, as we’re getting Final Fantasy XIII-2, sequel that is supposed to “fix” everything that was wrong with FF XIII (which, if you ask me, was nothing at all), Soul Calibur V (fighting games are back in style!) and NeverDead (a game that is so weird, that I’ll just point you to the trailer so you can see what it’s all about).
On PSN, the only new release is Puddle. Other than that, we get some formerly retail only games that are now part of the digital service.

[Review] Corpse Party (PSP)
Posted by EdEN in Corpse Party, Featured, PLAYSTATION Store, PSN, PSP, PSP Go, Reviews on January 23rd, 2012
Welcome to the abandoned and (reportedly) demolished halls of Heavenly Host Elementary School, where vengeful spirits dwell and the fires of corporeal existence are repeatedly and mercilessly snuffed. We hope you enjoy the tour, as it’s not about to end anytime soon. It may even last an eternity…
At this accursed school, a series of incidents occurred in which, ultimately, four students were kidnapped… and murdered. And though this ocurred 30 years ago, the corpse party still continues to this very day.
[Review] Persona 2 – Innocent Sin (PSP)
![[Review] Persona 2 (PSP)](http://www.ps3blog.net/wp-content/uploads/Persona-2-review.jpg)
The story takes place in Sumaru City, Japan, population 1,280,000. Its protagonist attends Seven Sisters High School (“Sevens” for short), whose emblem is considered a status symbol even amongst students from other schools.
Soon, though, a rumor that Sevens emblem was actually cursed, and that wearing it would disfigure one’s face, had spread around the city. Even worse, the rumor came true… And it was only the beginning of a string of rumors becoming reality, one after another…
Before long, the protagonist discover the power to summon another side of them called “Personas”, which they use to investigate the strange incidents around the city, all while facing their own personal demons as well.
Time is once again on the march…
Releases for the Week (January 9th-15th)

The year has finally begun! Wait, what? It started last week? Mmm, no one told Sony about it! Anyway, here’s the update on the releases you’ll be able to enjoy this week. After the onslaught of holiday releases, things are definitely off to a slow start.
We get two digital releases for previously retail-only games, two PSN games, one minis and one PSOne classic. The minis is what I look forward to this week since Mecho Wars for consoles has been something I’ve wanted since the game was announced. For those Nintendo+Sony fans out there, the easy way to explain this is Advance Wars set in a new universe. An universe with an interesting art direction.
Are you buying anything this week?
