6180 the Moon is a stylish minimalis|t unique platformer since the action takes place both on the big screen and on the Wii U Gamepad’s screen. The story is that the sun has disappeared, so the moon goes on a journey to find the missing sun as well as to finding why it disappeared.
Star Ghost is a shoot ’em up set in space, The game was built by a single dev who previously worked on m any AAA games such as Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. The name of the studio is Squarehead Games and Star Ghost is its first game. The music was composed by the one and only David Wise who has composed a lot of music for Nintendo platforms over the years, the most recent being Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and I’m very happy to hear his music on Star Ghost!
Level 22 – Gary’s Misadventures was originally a mobile release, and it was a roaring success. I remember many of my friends telling me to try out the game, but I am not a mobile phone gamer – I haven’t touched a mobile game in quite a few years now! Level 22 is now available on Wii U with better graphics than what was made available on mobile, with Off-TV gameplay and a lot of content to enjoy on Nintendo’s console.
Typoman is a 2D atmospheric puzzle/platformer exclusive to the Nintendo Wii U platform. The game reminds me quite a bit of Limbo since it’s set in a dark and surreal world. Mix that with a little bit of Scrabble, and you get Typoman! Oh, and instead of a boy like in Limbo for Typoman you have a stick man whose body is made of letters.
