Warhawk for the PLAYSTATION 3 is being released soon, and it’ll come in two different flavours. The PSN online downloadable version of Warhawk will cost $40. The packaged BD (Blu-ray Disc) version with an included headset will cost $60. Which version will you buy?

While we’re talking about Warhawk, I just wanted to mention that I think the $40 price is fair. I know there was that one mag who wanted to decrease their score of the game by one point if the PSN download was over $30, but that’s rubbish. The fact is, you’re getting a really good game for your money, and it’s a good value. At least, that’s my opinion, having played the game a lot when it was in BETA. What do you guys think?

[Edit: Oooh right. Tosh wanted me to point out that the Blu-ray version of Warhawk will give you the ability to “ghost” Warhawk onto multiple machines at a LAN party. So you could play Warhawk on multiple PS3’s if they’re all connected together. Cool stuff. Video.]

With all the press Lair’s been getting, I would have expected better performance. Ditto for R&C.

PSU has a comparison chart showing the exclusive titles coming out for the 360, Wii, and PS3. It made me think two things:

1. I’m glad I have a PS3. Most of the exclusives (with a few rare exceptions) on other platforms don’t interest me as much as the PS3 exclusives. Which is why I bought a PS3 - it has the kind of games I like. For others, their choices are different.

2. I got to thinking about which exclusive I want the most. I am really quite interested in PS3 Killzone, but there just isn’t enough information out there yet to warrant a vote for that game, plus it’s probably not going to be a 2007 title. So I have to choose something in 2007. I think I’d have to go for Warhawk. I’m in the beta, and I know it’s a blast to play. I just wish my friend and I wouldn’t constantly get kicked out of games (right at the start) for playing splitscreen.

Sony and Immersion are currently in talks about bringing rumble back to the PS3. While they don’t explicitly state that the SIXAXIS controller will be getting rumble, that’s what everybody assumes.

For the purposes of this article, I’ll assume so as well. I just hope we’re all correct!

When I heard that Sony and Immersion had kissed and made up, I started to think about what they could do that’s different. Sure we want rumble back in the SIXAXIS. But surely there is room for improvement? How about four or five rumble actuators (is that the word?) so that you can feel rumble go left to right and front to back (and vice versa, and diagonally, etc)? What about more flexibility in the feel of the rumble? Sharp versus dull, etc. What about…? Actually, I only thought of those two things.

Do you think that Sony will be doing anything fancy with their new rumble? Or are they going to go with the same old rumble we’ve known before?

It looks like that, out of those that actually do have a PS3, most (63%) are not affected by this problem.

I saw this news posting about the Bluetooth controller connection issue, and I thought it would be a good topic for a poll. I had ignored this issue for a long time, because it never affected me. But two weeks ago it happened to my friend while we were playing on my PS3. His connection just got lost while in the middle of playing a game. It’s only happened the one time, but it’s quite annoying.

So my question is this: has the Bluetooth connection problem been a problem for you on your PS3? If so, how often?
