Releases for the Week (May 28th-June 3rd)

Things are definitely picking up before the onslaught that is E3, and VITA has decided to show up once again at retail in order to bring us Resistance: Burning Skies. Sure, the game will also be available on PSN, but you look like the kind of person that likes to own a physical copy for most of his games. We also get the winner for “Retail Box with Most Quotes”, as well as Atelier Meturu: The Apprentice of Arland, the last game in the trilogy that started with Atelier Rorona and continued with Atelier Totori.

PSN also brings us a new release with Pure Chess, as well as digital releases for two retail games.

Releases for the Week (May 14th-20th)

The Payne is back! Max Payne 3 is FINALLY going to retail this week after doing the “release date” shuffle for a while. But this week also has the first Game of Thrones Videogame! Did you pre-order your copy to secure the free HC artbook that will be made available on ebay for $100 later this week?

The Playstation Network will play host to Pixeljunk 4am, a game so trippy it made almost all other Pixeljunk games drop to the floor with their prices! Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode II is also coming down for the party, and Sonic and Tails are ready to run with the flow for as long as possible. We also get Rock of Ages, a game so crazy that it must be fun as well! Jam Live Music Arcade also seems like an interesting take on the rhythm/music genre since you can actually mix all available songs on the go, creating a unique experience every single time.

Releases for the Week (April 30th-May 6th)

April has decided it is time to say goodbye, and is opening the door for May to wreak havoc on our wallets.

As was the case last week, there is only one PS3 retail release, but it is joined by one Vita upgraded port of a former PS3 game.

The PS2 Classic series has two new releases, and Awesomenauts might/might not release this week since the publisher just filed for bankruptcy (why they didn’t wait until AFTER the game released, I do not know). Let’s not forget that Awesomenauts is set to be free for all PS+ subscribers, so I do hope things are sorted out.

To round things up, we also have one minis release (Floating Cloud God Saves The Pilgrims), which basically means that the PSOne Classics label is the only one not invited to the party this time around… what? Legend of Dragoon is releasing this week as well? Ok, forget all other releases, buy Legend of Dragoon the second after the store updates!

Full list of releases, after the break!

Releases for the Week (April 9th-15th)

When April comes around, retail releases tend to go away for a bit. Since April is now in full swing, guess what? Retail releases have gone away! Shocking, right?

The PS3 does get a digital release of the two great formerly retail-only ga…. what? We’re not even getting any of those this weeks? Mmm, are we at least getting a PSOne Classic? No? Mmm… oh, wait, three new PSN releases will be made available, as well as one PS2 Classic game. And there is a special surprise for Vita owners: A free game! Treasures of Montezuma Blitz will be released tomorrow and ALL VITA OWNERS can download it for free. As in, no money down, no monthly payments.
