First of all, this was announced a couple days ago. And no one posted about it. Slackers, I tell ya. Anyway, if you’ve checked out the Official Blog over the past couple days, you’d have seen the announcement of Crackle coming to PlayStation Home in the Home Weekly Update.
PlayStation Home is proud to announce the release of Crackle on all LOOT EOD Screens this week. Now you can watch hundreds of full-length Hollywood movies and thousands of television shows with your friends for free. The LOOT EOD Screens can be found in the LOOT EOD Theater, Sunset Yacht, and the Hollywood Hills House. Catch up on these must-see movies available from Crackle: Step Brothers, Cruel Intentions, Snatch, Resident Evil, A Few Good Men, Final Fantasy: Advent Children, and many more! What will you watch first?
This could have the potential for a lot of people to finally hop onto Home. There’s no catch, either. It’s all free! I haven’t been able to check it out yet, though, so if anyone has, how is it?
No other series represents the PlayStation 3 logo as Naughty Dog’s Uncharted does. The Uncharted series is the crown jewel of the PlayStation3, loved and adored by millions of fans worldwide, and on that matter, Sony realized the need to lunch a huge marketing campaign for the Latest installment in the Uncharted series, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
We had a great open beta, a Subway exclusive multiplayer offer and now, according to IGN, the PlayStation Home is prepared for an Uncharted 3 makeover!
Check your inbox, because you could be one of the lucky PlayStation Home users invited to the new Home private beta. I just got the message a few hours ago, so I’m excited to try it out. It is being reported that a new hub has been added, and loading screens have been drastically cut, which is one of the major problems I have with Home. It seems like Sony is really stepping up all aspects of the PS3 before the holiday season in order to boost sales above the Xbox 360. Let me know if you got the invite and you notice any major differences in Home.
An interesting article by Shacknews.com indicates that PlayStation Home will be getting a (free to play) Multiplayer FPS game entitled Bootleggers. The game described as avatar versus avatar action, will be available in Home’s Action district, which is one of the PlayStation Home districts in the upcoming redesign (For more information on the PlayStation Home upcoming design you can check Jay’s Post). Also note that Matchmaking will be done through the matchmaking lobby in the desired district.
