Assassin Creed III Special Editions

Ubisoft will be releasing three different “special” editions of Assassin Creed III. The Freedom Edition, The Join or Die Edition and the Special Edition itself, which so far have only been confirmed for Australia and Europe. A North America release is still pending.
Assassin Creed III will be available on October 30, 2012

Ubisoft just revealed more information about Assassin’s Creed III through this all-new video and a series of screenshots. “These assets highlight the new hero’s background, including weapons he uses and the different environments he will be in throughout the game.”

Assassin’s Creed III Box Art Revealed as well as Gameinformer.com’s April Covers

Well it looks like the rumors and leaked images were real. The official Assassin’s Creed Facebook Page just released the box art for Assassin’s Creed III as seen on the left. gameinformer.com has also revealed their April covers, showcasing Assassin’s Creed 3.
Gameinformer verifies, that “Assassin’s Creed III will be set in the latter half of the 18th century,”and that “we’ll see the war between the Templars and the Assassins escalate as it crosses over to the New World of America, and witness firsthand the events of the American Revolution.”
April’s issue of Gameinformer will have 13 pages and reveal a lot more about the game.
From what I’ve read around the internet, many are loving this new direction, but many are also very skeptical that this story will work. What is your take on it?

[Rumor] Assassin’s Creed 3 Images Leaked

Two unconfirmed, supposedly, leaked images appeared late last night for Assassin’s Creed 3. The banner above was, according to toastervision.com, released early on gameinformer.com, and then quickly pulled. Their full screen grab can be seen here.
The image to the left was first released by kotaku.com, who said they received the photo from a best buy employee.
If legitimate, both images reveal what has long been rumored, that the new Assassin’s Creed game will take place during the American Revolution.
Most likely these are real, however we should know for sure soon, as the official Assassin’s Creed Facebook page posted this yesterday as well:
“A major announcement from Assassin’s Creed is only days away. Tune in to http://www.assassinscreed.com/ tomorrow for more details.”
So details should come at anytime now. We will keep you posted.
