Activision and Treyarch launch the next “Undead Onslaught”, with the all-new “Moon” level, four remastered classic zombies levels, enhanced soundtrack, and a Moon theme.
“Moon, the first Call of Duty level to catapult players into orbit, delivers outrageous new weapons, high-tech gear and unstoppable hordes of low gravity zombie beasts, delivering the most epic, challenging and otherworldly Zombies experience yet. Rezurrection also brings back four of the original maps that spawned the Zombies phenomenon. Amplified by the firepower and visual fidelity of Black Ops, players can relive the nightmare of “Nacht der Üntoten,” escape the Zombie madness in the asylum of “Verrückt,” battle back the undead Imperial Army of “Shi No Numa,” and pull the plug on “Der Riese,” the zombie factory that started it all.
To toast the release of Rezurrection, Treyarch will host Double XP from September 23-25.”

Activision confirmed a fourth Black Ops content pack for 360, PS3 and PC that will be released this fall. The Rezurrection Pack will be dedicated to the hardcore zombie mode fans and will contain the following:
- The all new Moon level.
- Four re-mastered Zombie levels: Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa and Der Riese.
- An enhanced Zombies Soundtrack.
Owners of Black Ops Hardened or Prestige Editions, whom already own the four re-mastered maps, will get the rest of the Rezurrection pack content for free (which is nice).
As has been the case with pretty much al Call of Duty DLC in the last couple of years, the Rezurrection Pack will arrive first on Xbox Live Marketplace on August 23 for 1200 MS Points. No date has been announced for the other platforms but expect it to be around two months after it’s 360 debut.
PlayStation 3 gamers will have to wait a tad bit longer before they can give Activision’s latest scheme a test run. The company’s social media manager, Dan Amrich, has confirmed that the Call of Duty Elite PS3 beta will kick off sometime later this summer. The 360 version has already launched, and invites were sent out the 14th of July.
PC gamers, in any case, won’t even be given a chance to get in the beta. Activision has conspicuously decided to limit it to gaming consoles only.
“While PC was an option during sign-ups, the FAQ now says, ‘Currently, we do not plan to launch a version of the beta for the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops’. I know that’s disappointing (I’m bummed, I think my PC stats might be higher than the others, actually) but I suppose it’s better than biting off more than you can chew for the beta.”
Activision describes the Call of Duty Elite service as an “innovative new digital community platform, built expressly for the 30-million strong Call of Duty fanbase”.
I say, it’s just another magic trick the selfish corporate giant is trying to make a quick buck off of. Just my opinion, though. What’s your take on the whole COD:Elite spiel?
Here’s a trailer with the latest zombie dlc coming for Black Ops.
“Zombies are back in “Annihilation”, as players unearth the mysteries of “Shangri-La,” a legendary shrine lost in an exotic jungle, where new undead species lurk within a treacherous labyrinth of underground caverns. Navigate through deadly traps and solve the dark secrets buried within the shifting walls of this zombie infested temple.”
There is still no official release date for this on the PSN.
