LittleBigPlanet “Confirmed for September”
According to C&VG, LittleBigPlanet won’t be out until the Autumn:
Sony has confirmed with us this morning that LittleBigPlanet will be out in September.
An autumn release date for the quirky PS3 game was hinted at yesterday, when producer Kyle Shubel spoke about the 2008 timeline for the title in a demonstration at CES in Las Vegas.
A LittleBigPlanet demo was expected toward the end of 2007 but failed to materialise. A rep from Sony UK had no further news on a release date for the demo at this time.
Sponge is now Fluff

The rumours I’ve been hearing of late push LittleBigPlanet to a late 2008 release. That’s a year after we were originally supposed to get a public demo, so that’s just a tad bit really disappointing.
But the game seems to be coming along.
They’ve named the little characters Sackboys and now they can move forward and back, not just side to side. And the currency, Sponge, has been renamed to Fluff in order to allow a wider range of appearance, apparantly.
On the whole, there hasn’t been much new about this game. I wish it would come out sooner rather than later, however.

Here’s a video showing some character creation stuff in LittleBigPlanet for the PLAYSTATION 3. There’s not a lot new here except for (a) the backdrop, and (b) the emotions they show on the characters near the end, which are funny.
LittleBigPlanet and Scoring

Here’s a video that shows the same LittleBigPlanet level we’ve seen before (with some minor changes), but with scoring at the end. Unfortunately, not much is revealed about how the scores are reached.
