Syndicate Images Leaked! [Updated]

[Update] EA, along with developer Starbreeze Studios, confirmed a reboot to the Syndicate franchise for an early 2012 release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

We are excited to finally reveal what we’ve been working on the past couple years,” said CEO of Starbreeze Studios Mikael Nermark

Young PS3Blog.net members: Syndicate is a classic DOS real-time tactical game from Bullfrog Productions. It was created in 1993 by Sean Cooper as the first title in the Syndicate series. An expansion pack, Syndicate: American Revolt, and a sequel, Syndicate Wars, have also been released. The original game and expansion pack were re-released together in 1996 as Syndicate Plus.

We have been hearing rumors of a remake since 2008, when Swedish game developer Starbreeze (Chronicles of Riddick) confirmed that it had abandoned its other project to focus on one game. Well, that’s about to change! A member of NeoGAF posted new info about the game description together with some screenshots, which (according to NeoGAF) will probably be revealed next week.

Boba Fett Revealed to be in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

Haden Blackman, the executive producer and writer of the Force Unleashed video game series, announced at the Comic-con, that Boba Fett would make an appearance in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II. He also told USA Today, that they, “didn’t want to just throw Boba Fett or other characters in the game just for the sake of making a fan appearance. But it really made sense for (Vader) to hire Boba Fett. He’s one of those characters that really resonates with fans. That cool masked man (with) all the gadgets, he’s a bounty hunter, which has got to be a life of adventure and danger. Boba Fett really has become a rich character over time, and for us to have him show up in a small but pivotal role was exciting.”
