InFamous 2 Save Data Import
Posted by Jason in inFamous, InFamous 2, QuickNews on May 27th, 2011
Sucker Punch has mentioned that you will be able to import your Infamous save file into Infamous 2 and it appears they kept their promise. When you fire up Infamous 2 you will have an option to import your Infamous Trophy data. I, like many others, have earned the platinum and have wondered what, exactly, we would get. Here is the list:
♦ Have good or evil Trophies from Infamous: Start Infamous 2 at level 1 good karma or level 1 evil karma.
♦ Infamous Trophy for 25 percent of the Blast Shards: Free energy core in Infamous 2.
♦ Infamous Trophy for 50 percent of the Blast Shards: Two free energy cores.
♦ Finished Infamous with any karma standing on any difficulty: 1,000 bonus XP for Infamous 2.
♦ Specific Trophies for Specific Infamous decisions: Reflect side missions, Dead Drops and dialog variety in Infamous 2.

InFamous 2 “The Beast” Trailer
Posted by Jason in InFamous 2, Media, PS3 on May 24th, 2011
A new trailer has been released by Sucker Punch entitled, “The Beast”. With the game nearing its release, Sucker Punch has began releasing info on what keeps the story moving forward. This is what Nate Fox, the director, had to say:
[spoiler intro="Contains some spoilers"]
What’s the Beast, you ask? Like a meteor from outer space it’s a force of destruction too powerful for humanity to contain. At the end of inFamous, Cole MacGrath was given a vision that the Beast would arrive into the world and that he alone could stop it. The safety of our species was put on his shoulders. No pressure right? As you might imagine Cole would do anything in his power to get ready for the fight. He’s desperate to win, to save the lives of his friends and neighbors.
.
But at the start of inFamous 2 he fails. The Beast arrives and Cole isn’t strong enough. He’s forced to run south to New Marais and prepare for a second, final encounter while his home, Empire City, is swallowed in flames.
.
Have you ever failed at anything? Ever been dumped or fired or beat up? Ever tried your hardest and still lost? It’s sucks, right? Makes you feel hollowed out, weak. Like you don’t matter. Of course it’s exactly those moments that forge you into in a stronger person. I believe that we are defined by our failure more than our successes. Once you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and OVERCOME the thing that beat you, that’s when you really win. That’s when you’ve surpassed your past self. In inFAMOUS 2 you, help Cole get there. You guide him through New Marais; searching for new, stronger powers. Along the way you’ll meet potential allies who could help in your fight against the Beast. And you’ll need the help… the monster is moving down the coast, burning the landscape, getting stronger as it centers in on New Marais. Your back is against the wall, with only a few days to prepare for that second chance. Soon it’ll be time to overcome the things that have beaten you in the past. Are you up for it? After all, the Beast is Coming.

InFAMOUS 2 Graphic Novel Intro
Posted by Jay in InFamous 2, Media, QuickNews on May 13th, 2011
Like Wayne says on the popular early ’90s movie/SNL skit ‘Wayne’s World’, this video basically says “Let me bring you up to speed.” It’s, apparently, the intro cinematic for the upcoming game, InFAMOUS 2, which doesn’t show off any spoilers, but it, really, just gives you a recap of the first game and why you’re going down to New Marais. I’ve read a few comments about how some people didn’t care about Cole’s voice being done by another voice actor, until this video, but you be the judge of that.
inFamous 2 Beta Will Be Extended
Posted by Oly in InFamous 2, QuickNews on April 25th, 2011
Sucker Punch just announced that they will extend the time for the inFamous 2 beta, due to the PSN outage. The message was posted on their Facebook and Twitter pages.
“SuckerPunchProd Sucker Punch
We’ve decided to extend the beta. Once PSN is back up we’ll determine by how long, but rest assured: your outcry has been heard.”
I’m sure other will follow suite, and/or compensate for time lost.
