Sony’s compensation for recent PSN attacks has completely gone live.
Users who had a PSN account before the attacks on April 20th, 2011, will be elgible for the Welcome Back rewards.
PS3 owners can download two of the following games for free:
- Dead Nation
- Infamous
- Little Big Planet
- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury

InFamous 2 Save Data Import

Sucker Punch has mentioned that you will be able to import your Infamous save file into Infamous 2 and it appears they kept their promise. When you fire up Infamous 2 you will have an option to import your Infamous Trophy data. I, like many others, have earned the platinum and have wondered what, exactly, we would get. Here is the list:
♦ Have good or evil Trophies from Infamous: Start Infamous 2 at level 1 good karma or level 1 evil karma.
♦ Infamous Trophy for 25 percent of the Blast Shards: Free energy core in Infamous 2.
♦ Infamous Trophy for 50 percent of the Blast Shards: Two free energy cores.
♦ Finished Infamous with any karma standing on any difficulty: 1,000 bonus XP for Infamous 2.
♦ Specific Trophies for Specific Infamous decisions: Reflect side missions, Dead Drops and dialog variety in Infamous 2.

Infamous Comic to be Released by DC Comics and Sucker Punch

In celebration of the upcoming release of inFAMOUS 2, Sucker Punch Productions and DC Comics today are announcing all-new chapters in the inFAMOUS storyline. Penned by William Harms and illustrated by artist Eric Nguyen, the series bridges the story between inFAMOUS and inFAMOUS 2 and chronicles Cole’s struggle to save Empire City before fleeing to the Southern city of New Marais.
In this six volume series, we will learn of some dark secrets, new baddies and some world ending dangerous events.
The image posted is the cover art for the series drawn by Dough Mahnke who drew the illustrations for such comics as Justice League America, Batman and Green Lantern.

Buy InFamous, Get Uncharted: Drakes Fortune Free

With the recent announcement that InFamous has received a price drop, Fry’s Electronics is also having a special between now and Thursday where if you purchase InFamous (for $39.80 according to examiner.com), you get a free copy of the Greatest Hits title Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. This would go perfectly with that new PS3 some of you may be getting for yourselves/others for Christmas, seeing as these are two great games! Hurry, though, you got less than a week left.
InFamous Price Drop and DLC Details
It appears that the price of InFamous has dropped to $39.99. That’s one heck of a deal considering the game came out earlier this year. If you haven’t picked it up, you’re missing out on a great game. It’s definitely one of the best superhero games out there.
Also, as pictured above, there’s a new Super Power you will be able to use called Gigawatt Blades. This DLC will be made available on the PlayStation Network on December 10th at the low, low price of Free. Here’s what the upgrade does:
The Gigawatt Blades supercharge Cole’s arm into blades of pure energy which can be used to cause massive damage against enemies during melee combat.
Also, the soundtrack is available at Sumthing Else Music Works retail outlets and available for digital purchase at sumthingdigital.com.
Black Friday Game Deals

Here’s a good line up of some of the deals that can be found during Black Friday weekend. Highlights include Dragon Age $35, GTA4 $20, Brutal Legend $35, NfS:Shift $35 and a $10 gift card with CoD:MW2 or Assassin’s Creed 2. Also Game Fly members get a $10 coupon on Used or Keep games. Via Yahoo
Official Word on UK PS3 Bundles

It looks like Sony will, indeed, be offering bundles (at least in the UK) for the PS3, featuring 250GB hard drives (the Final Fantasy XIII bundle was already confirmed for Japan). They will start showing up on October 1st (which is when the PSP Go also launches). The first bundles to show up will vary between multiple titles, including one that comes with two Greatest Hits titles and the other will be an inFamous bundle (for those of you who haven’t played inFamous, it’s really good!).
On October 16th, an Uncharted 2 bundle will hit shelves (day and date with the actual game release) and a couple days later on the 19th, the Blu-Ray movie pack will be made available, which also includes a Blu-Ray remote and a copy of both X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The Dark Knight. Also, according to a press release from yesterday, there will also be FIFA 10 and Need for Speed: Shift bundles. The bundles will go on sale for GBP 284.99. As far as why Sony decided to come out with these bundles, they stated:
Following the great success of the new, smaller, 120GB PS3, which sold over one million units in its first three weeks on sale, the 250GB model has the same hardware specifications as the current model, but with greater storage space, to offer consumers even more choice.
No word on whether or not any bundles will hit the states, though.
