For any fans of LC:GOL you will be happy to know that new cross-over playable characters will be coming soon. The characters that will be coming are the famous duo Kane & Lynch and Kain & Raziel from the classic Blood Omen and Soul Reaver games. Crystal Dynamics are also doing a survey to find out which characters you want to be released first. Follow them on Twitter @CrystalDynamics
The latest PSN (and PC and XBLA) Lara Croft title received a long-awaited patch yesterday that allows for online co-op play. The game takes a turn from the usual Lara Croft FPS formula by presenting the characters in a somewhat distant 3rd-person perspective. The game is much more an action-puzzler than a shooter. Integral to the game dynamic is co-op play with two characters who have unique abilities: Lara and Totec, the fleshly manifestation of an Aztec god. In single player, Lara gets all of Totec’s abilities in addition to her own, and the game gets, well, boring. My wife and I have had fun with the local co-op, so online co-op is a most welcome addition.
Next Tuesday, Sep. 28th, PS “Plus members with Automatic Downloads enabled will have Lara Croft’s first PSN adventure, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light pushed to their console.” I’m assuming it is just the demo, because the game will retail in the PlayStation Store on for $14.99.
Next up, “In early October”, “Select PlayStation Plus members”, (whatever that means) will be able to join Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood beta. I know the reason for saying “Select” is most likely due to the fact that there are only so many people allowed in a beta, however what makes someone “Select” would be nice to know. Even if they just said it’s a random pick, would make me happy.
Red Faction Battlegrounds beta was also announced as a PS+ exclusive for early Oct. release.
PlayStation Plus subscribers will also receive an automatic download of the Alien Breed: Impact demo, a sale on Wakeboarding HD bundle, a free download of the mini Bubble Trubble, and there will be some PS+ exclusive discounts.
Below is the official list for 10/5:

Earlier this week there were some rumors that Square Enix Europe would be showing a new Lara Croft game at GDC. We can now safely say that this is confirmed since SE Europe’s Crystal Dynamics announced “Lara Croft and The Guardian of Light” – a 2010 digital download release.
“This is a really exciting project for Crystal Dynamics, we have created something completely new and very different to what people might be expecting,” he said. “Lara Croft is such an iconic character in video games, with Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light we have created what we believe is a truly original digital experience.”
