Posted by in LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2 on August 1st, 2011
Toy Story levels and costumes are arriving tomorrow, Tuesday August 2nd, on the PSN, for LittleBigPlanet. The costumes look great, and the levels are sure to be just as good. Personally I can’t wait to play them.
The costume pack will include Buzz Lightyear, Rex, Slinky Dog, and Hamm, and will retail for $5.99.
The level pack which will also be $5.99, will include:
9 Brand new Toy Story themed Levels (2 cutscenes, 5 levels and 2 mini-levels)

LBP2 and a Camera Exploit: The Possible Future of LBP?
Posted by Jay in LittleBigPlanet 2, Media, QuickNews on May 19th, 2011
The video above shows an in-progress LittleBigPlanet 2 level that uses a camera exploit (since there are no tools that allow for it) to give the impression that you’re playing on a 3D playing field in the first person. Although movement controls are 2D in nature (similar to the very first FPS titles), the amount of work put into this really shows.
With this kind of implementation of a 3D-esque world within a 2D-esque title using a simple exploit, it makes you wonder where we might expect the series to go some time in the future (like dedicated 3D level building tools). Could we maybe see true 3D levels become a possibility in, say, LittleBigPlanet 3, while still allowing for people to create 2D levels as well (opening the game up for backwards compatibility on levels created for past titles)? I can see it as a possibility, with the title saying “LittleBigPlanet 3-D!” or something along those lines.
I wouldn’t expect to see that until the PlayStation 4, though.
LittleBigPlanet Levels Surpass Four Million & New Costumes!!
Posted by in LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2 on April 15th, 2011
LBP and LBP2 fan made levels have now surpassed four million. This game continues to surprise me every time I get on to play. There are many levels so good, that I can’t even fathom how someone could make them on the PS3.
Eric Levine, of SCEA, explained, that “if you played LBP straight for 12 hours a day and only played each level for 5 minutes, it would take you more than 78 years to play through all of them. WOW!”
I’m sure they will hit five million before too long. Especially with new sticker packs on their way. The first to be announced, is the “Tron: Evolution Minipack, which will be released on April 26th for $2.99.” The pack will also contain two brand new costumes. Then in May, a KillZone 3 costume pack with two brand new costumes will arrive.
To see the Tron pack, and one of the KillZone 3 costumes, hit the jump.

Plants vs Zombies, Please call Sackboy!

Who needs Plants vs Zombies when you have the LittleBigPlanet version for free?! How do these people do it?
Plants Vs Zombots is quite an example of LBP power at it’s finest. I wonder how popcap feels about this?
