Mafia II’s PS3-Exclusive DLC

Mafia II is scheduled for release on August 24, 2010. Just announced on the Official Playstation Blog, there will be a free opening day DLC pack named The Betrayal of Jimmy.

The pack will add 25 new missions and will be centered around a different character than the main storyline. New PS3 versions of the game will include a voucher for download on release day. If you buy Mafia II used, this DLC pack will be available for download from the PS Store for 9.99.

Another DLC pack’s information was leaked last month under the name Jimmy’s Vendetta. Information on this pack is scarce but it’s safe to say it’s a follow up to The Betrayal of Jimmy. Pricing is unknown for Jimmy’s Vendetta

Mafia II Interview

Jeff Rubenstein, the Social Media Manager over at the official Playstation 3 Blog, had a chance to catch up with Jack Scalici, the Director of Creative Production, about Mafia II and get some of the gamers’ questions answered. According to him, he also received a Tommy Gun filled with Tequila, but couldn’t send me a photo as he was asked not to publish it. What kind of Mafiosos are these people? I thought the Mafia did whatever they wanted! I guess nobody’s perfect.

Mafia II Release Date and Box Art

Good news for Mafia fans. 2k Games announced that Mafia II will be available August 24, 2010. Thats right, the Epic mobster video game, Mafia II will be available in North America on August 24 and internationally on August 27.

GDC 2010: Mafia II Trailer

Here’s the new trailer for Mafia II, which will be shown at GDC next week. Despite the game being delayed again, this is still one of those titles to keep an eye on. The detail in this game is great! Anyone else looking forward to it?
