Mass Effect Trilogy Announced (PS3 Included)
Posted by wolfkin in Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, Press Release on September 26th, 2012

This is the Mass Effect Trilogy vignette. It is massive and will have effect upon you.
Bioware have announced a Mass Effect Trilogy is to be released. This set will include all three Mass Effect Games for the single price of $59.99. It is set to be released on Xbox 360 and PC on November 6th. More importantly to us is that this set will be released on PS3 at a yet to be determined date and will include all three games, making it the first time that the original Mass Effect will be available on the Playstation 3.
Although a date hasn’t been given for the PS3 release, Bioware has announced that Mass Effect will be made available as a standalone PSN title that will include trophy support.
All my fellow backlog gamers who haven’t yet dipped their toes into the Mass Effect, will finally have the opportunity. For me, this is one less reason to acquire another console. Personally, in an utterly rare show of enthusiasm, I think this might be the first game I will have pre-ordered in 5+ years, or at the very least, I think I’ll buy this week 1.
Bioware also announced the very first annual N7 day on November 7th, which will include: in-game, online and other live events to be announced closer to release date.
Over 75 hours of Mass Effect finally on our console of choice. Are you excited? Has it been too long? Have you already bought and/or played any of the games yet? Let us know in the comments below.

Morgon Spurlock is best known for his documentary “Super Size Me”, a movie about eating McDonalds fast food for 30 days straight and how it affects your body. This time around he is back to bring you the nitty gritty of the popular San Diego Comic-Con.
I was granted exclusive access to the red carpet premiere of “Comic Con Episode IV A Fans Hope” and it was unexpectedly star studded with well known industry names such as, Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead series creator), Stan Lee (Marvel), Joss Whedon (director of the upcoming The Avengers movie), and Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson, in the Avengers). In attendance were some of the stars of the movie such as Holly Conrad, and Bioware Community Manager Jessica Merizan.
Watch the video as I try to get my Red Carpet swag on, with special guest correspondents Jerry Amsterdam and Joel.
Talent order:
David Glanzer director of marketing and public relations for Comic-Con International.
Tank and Steph Werner. Mass Effect Costumers.
Jessica Merizan and Holly Conrad.
Clark Gregg, Agent Coulson in the Avengers movie.
Comic-Con Episode IV: A fans hope is now available on Video on Demand and iTunes. See the Trailer here.

Mass Effect 2 Review

I’m literally writing this as the credits to Mass Effect 2 are rolling on my cheap TV behind me. What do I think of the game? Let’s just say that there’s a very good reason why so many Xbox fanboys were annoyed when Red Dead Redemption beat out Mass Effect 2 at Spike’s Video Game Awards for 2010.
Although Mass Effect 2 was originally released over a year ago to the Xbox 360 and PC, the PlayStation 3 version is well worth the wait. DLC, that would cost the the owners of the other versions upwards of $20, is given with you for free (the DLCs are Kasumi: Stealing Memories, Overlord, and Lair of the Shadow Broker, which are packaged with the game on the disc. You might also get a piece of paper with a code written on it, advertising the Cerberus Network. Download it immediately – it provides the opening comic, Mass Effect Genesis, some new armor and weapons, and a new character to recruit).
