Star Ocean: The Last Hope is a very good RPG in the Star Ocean franchise, a sci-fi series that is set in the far future. In this game, which is in fact a prequel to the 3 other Star Ocean games, your quest will be to find a new home for the residents of Earth, in the aftermath of WWIII that left our planet as an hostile environment.

I’m revisiting this review today because this is one of the RPGs I loved from my PS3 library. I purchased it as soon as it was released and played it through twice, and I would definitely replay this RPG gem!

[PS3 Review Rewind] Star Ocean: The Last Hope International

Hey there JRPG fans!

So, you played Tales of Graces f and Final Fantasy XIII-2 earlier this year, and were wondering what is the next JRPG you could play before Ni No Kuni or Tales of Xillia are out?

If you haven’t played it yet, Star Ocean: The Last Hope International (2010) is an awesome game that can keep you entertained for a long time (or a very long time if you’re aiming for the Platinum Trophy!).

Star Ocean: The Last Hope International is the fourth entry, and the Star Ocean series prequel. This game has been developed by Square Enix and Tri-Ace and was originally released in 2009 exclusively for the Xbox 360. It has been ported with a few enhancements the following year on the PlayStation 3, as the International version.
