[Review] Trine 2

The three main characters in Trine 2 are icons in the gaming industry. They represent to us, gamers, the mysterious dungeons, the prized weapon at the end of a painful quest, and above all, the classic old school RPG that we all adore. However, Trine 2 is NOT an RPG. Trine 2

I had a chance to play the original side-scrolling fantasy action-adventure “Trine” recently and I loved it. It pushes some of the most dynamic and beautiful graphics ever made for a PSN title. Come December 20th, developer Frozenbyte and publisher Atlus will deliver the next installment in the series, entitled Trine 2, on the PlayStation Network for North America. The European release date hasn’t been announced, the price hasn’t been confirmed either. But I would suspect a $14.99 tag. Hopefully a PlayStation Plus members’ discount will follow.

Trine 2: Adventure Trailer now with Online Co-op

ATLUS today released a new “Cooperative Adventure” trailer for Trine 2, the high fantasy, physics-based action-platformer with 3 player cooperative online multiplayer coming to the PSN this Fall.

“The new trailer features the 3-player cooperative action-platforming and puzzle-solving at the heart of the gorgeous fantasy adventure. The trailer also shows off the wealth of new environments, monsters, abilities, and challenges featured in the vastly improved sequel, in addition to reinforcing the fact that Trine 2’s cooperative multiplayer can now be played online in addition to locally.”

This looks like it is going to be a great addition to the game. I am definitely going to be checking it out.
