With the recent release of a new gameplay/story teaser trailer of Twisted Metal (which we showed you here), David Jaffe gave us a short video, letting us know of some upcoming stuff pertaining to the game (such as events and character reveals). And, of course, what is a David Jaffe video without a few swear words and humor?
This Twisted Metal exclusive GTTV trailer, revealed last night, shows us new gameplay footage, a bit of cinematic sequences, a lot of destruction, and more importantly, a release date!
We can now expect the launch to be 10/04/2011.
Twisted Metal is a PS3 exclusive title, so you can be sure top quality entertainment is on the way.
The fourth season of GT.TV kicked off last week with never-before-seen footage of Twisted Metal and an interview with creator David Jaffe. In this extended cut version of what aired on the TV show, Jaffe shares details about what fans can expect from the online multiplayer modes to the usual wacky gameplay that makes Twisted Metal…twisted.
Tonight is the new season premier of GTTV on spike, and they have been promising “a bigger and better GTTV for 2011. We still have some surprises we haven’t unveiled, so make sure to tune in live for the first episode!” Well some big news for us PS3 fans just came across the wire, as Videogame journalist Geoff Keighley, host of Spike TV’s GTTV, just tweeted the following:
“Tonight on GTTV on Spike, brand new footage from TWISTED METAL for PS3. @davidscottjaffe reveals Axel in motion for the first time!”
GTTV airs on Spike Thursday nights (Friday AM) at 1AM/12C and now Saturday mornings at 10:30AM/9:30C. Remember, if you have DirecTV like I do, it is the Eastern feed, so times may vary. My DVR is set.. Can’t wait to see this one!!
The Official PS3 Blog is having Devs from all over drop by around X-mas to share with everyone what they are up too. In this post David Scott Jaffe the Co-Founder of Eat Sleep Play and the Co-Director/Co-Lead Designer of Twisted Metal tells us what the team is up to and even answers questions from all over the internetz that fans of the game have asked. Also if you happen to WOO him in some way by posting a response you might be able to win your self an autographed “Sweet Tooth” action figure from the team.They are going to be giving away 10 of them.
Anyone else like this guy? I think he’s a straight shooter, he doesn’t come of as an arrogant arse to me. He goes out and just says what needs to be done or is going to be done in a straight forward way. Some people might hate it but I have to say that I appreciate it.
