Uncharted 2 Game Night Recap

Success! The Uncharted 2 Game Night was great! We had 6 total when we started, which allowed us to play private matches of 3v3. The group consisted of Ace, Dean, Luke, Flea, Geezus, and myself. Flea and Geezus I’ve forgotten what your ps3blog ID’s are, so please leave a comment so we can award you the 50 points for attending.

We started off with a warm up round, so Luke could get his groove back, and then proceeded straight to some fun matches that consisted of only rockets!

These matches were insanely chaotic, with rockets flying across the map and everyone killing eachother instantly. My surround sound system was alive with explosions and rockets whistling past me. Everyone had a good laugh.

After we lost Luke, we jumped into some standard matches with the 5 of us to take on some random folks. These rounds were great and Geezus was always at the top of the scoreboard. I’ll have to toss him 75 extra points for his score.

Eventually we tried some Elimination, which was a round I’d never actually played before. When the match started I’d forgotten what mode we were in and just rushed in after two people, by mistake. Elimination was great, and we won most of them, minus our 0-3 game against a well organized group.

I’m going to have to give Dean an additional 75 points for being the ninja of the group. I swear that guy would get me from the most random places. I’d die and never really know where he was.

Luke gets 75 bonus points for being a good sport in the warm up round….also for this voicemail I left him last night:

I’ve included some screenshots after the jump to highlight some moments from the games, and I plan on working on a video this weekend with just the insane rocket kills we had!

I can’t wait to have another Uncharted 2 game night!

Uncharted 2 Game Night – 3/17/11

Good day fellow gamers! Tosh won’t be able to host a game night this week, so I’ve been handed the torch. Though I didn’t want to host another Killzone 3 game, even though it is fun, I want to change it up a bit with Uncharted 2!

So take a trip to 2009 with me this Thursday at 5:30pm Pacific Time, and we’ll have some fun. I’m hoping we get enough for a private match, and then I’m going to go through the footage and make a highlight reel of all our kills.

Add me on the PSN, my ID is Jcmdaddy (no wai!) just put that you’re from PS3blog.net. Hope to see you all there!

November Needs to Hurry Up And Get Here Already

I’ve been sitting here for the past 20 minutes looking at a blank screen on my iPhone4, not sure how to type this next article. Should I make it a “puff” piece? What should I do? Should I stick to the facts? Should I just base it on personal experience like I have with my past articles and hope you all don’t come after me with torches and pitchforks? What should I do? Should i just bombard you with sales figures and other overwhelming stats? What should I do? Should I NOT rip off Lebron James and just get to the point? That’s exactly what I’m going to do.

Nathan Drake.

Let’s face it, the man is like Indiana Jones on steroids. He’s a downright, no punch pulling – hero. He’s also quite brash when facing danger right in the eye. He’s the kind of guy that doesn’t run from bullets, but takes the shortest path to them. He’s got zingy one-liners and a chiseled jawline. He knows how to handle himself in a fight and knows his way around a weapon or two. If you’re planning on going into a gunfight, you’re going to want this cat on your team. He’s got past loves and current ones. He has enemies and then he’s got people that just want nothing more on this earth then to watch him die slowly – the purest of villains. He’s also a complete workup of fiction. Created by a small Santa Monica development studio – Naughty Dog, way back in early 2006.

Uncharted Fan Stands Up to David Russell

Ever since the rumors came out about Mark Wahlberg being Nathan drake in the Uncharted Movie, due to be released in 2013, fans have been sharing their hate towards this decision all over the internet. Here is one guy who stood up for Nathan Fillion. I must say I’m very pleased on his decision to confront David and tell him to rethink the cast.

Mark Wahlberg, as you may know, is starring in this new flick callled “The Fighter”. At a recent screening, where Uncharted director David Russell attended, a fan approached him to tell him that Nathan Fillion should be a part of the cast. The fan’s reasoning why the director should listen to him: he’s played all of the Uncharted games.

Russell then replies, “Alright, alright, alright, alright okay…” That’s a lot of alrights right there, but he tells the guy nonetheless that “Alright, I hear you, you stood up for your  boy.”

What do you guys think of this? Maybe Fillion will get the job after all.
