Watch THQ’s WWE Superstar Challenge, Win Prizes

Later tonight, THQ will be live streaming their Wrestlemania XXVII Superstar Challenge on UStream, and one of the biggest reasons to watch is for your chance to win a number of prizes (and if you’re a WWE fan, the prizes are pretty cool). THQ has done this for the past, what, 8 years? This is just part of their Wresltemania weekend coverage, though.

The event is two hours long, and includes a live chat as well, where fans can interact with one another and talk about the event. Here are a few details:

The Superstar Challenge will bring back the defending Champion JTG, and other Superstars including JR and Jerry Lawler, Sheamus, John Morrison, Dolph Ziggler, Evan Bourne, Kofi Kingston, Dusty Rhodes, Ted DiBiase Jr, Beth Phoenix, Gail Kim, Sgt Slaughter, The Usos, Chris Masters, and Ricky Steamboat in a 1v1 live elimination tournament

The prizes? A chance to win tickets to a WWE live showing (PPV, Raw, or Smackdown), autographed Macho Man and Steve Austin figurines, free copies of WWE All-Stars, some JR’s BBQ Sauce, a bunch of other figurines…and more, apparently.

For live streams (when they’re available), and a video highlighting events from last year’s, check after the jump! It is kind of an ugly setup, though :P.

WWE All-Stars Full Match w/ Developer Commentary & Win JR’s BBQ Sauce

This is, more or less, a double header post. A couple days ago, THQ had released a full match of the upcoming arcade fighter, WWE All-Stars. With the theme of Old vs New for the title, they decided to have a couple acrobatic-class guys fight it out in the ring, using the likes of John Morrison (today) and Shawn Michaels (the 80s version).

Apart from a few clipping problems and a couple glitches in the video, I did get to play some of it in the summer of last year, and even then, it was pretty fun to play.

As far as the contest goes, to get the word out for our friends at THQ, they’re giving away autographed bottles of JR’s BBQ Sauce. All you have to do is sign up on Twitter and follow @WWEgames, and tweet your best JR-ism (like something you’d think he’d say) using the #JRAllStars hashtag and the theme of the day, and at the end of each day, JR himself will pick the winner. Here is today’s theme for the JR-ism; John Cena vs the Rock.
