Battlefield 3 is Heading to GamesCom with Jets!

The wait is almost over, battlefield junkies. In just 9 days time, DICE plans to show off the very first footage of Battlefield 3′s conquest mode, and jets will finally be making their long awaited appearance.

DICE General Manager KM Troedsson (Karl Magnus Troedsson) confirmed the news via Twitter:

Troedsson pretty much sealed the deal with his fancy emotioicon.

GamesCom just became my new best friend, hopefully we get a bunch of new Battlefield 3 footage, and maybe even a narrower date for the beta. Until battlefield 3 releases, remember to keep practicing and whatever you do, don’t do this.

PlayStation Move A Peripheral Killer?

I’ve just read a really good article over at PlayStation Lifestyle about the PS Move Killing Peripherals One At A Time.

To reiterate what the article discussed, there were days when game titles, such as Time Crisis, used the infamous GunCon, and of course GunCon 2. Even those peripherals brought many a gamer pleasure whilst shooting the bad guys. There was one problem with it. It was only compatible with one title!

With Time Crisis: Razing Storm making an appearance at GamesCom 2010, Producer Norihiro Nishimura told GamingUnion.net that there were plans for a new GunCon – a wireless one. However, it wasn’t made due to the fact Move was released.

Infamous 2 Gameplay

From Gamescom 2010. It looks amazing I have to say. Also I like how the new (old) Cole model is already in the game. Infamous 2 is currently scheduled for release in Spring 2011 exclusively to the PS3. Enjoy

Sony has More PS3 Exclusives to Announce

psnOver the last few months, Sony’s first-party developers have been making announcement after announcement of major games that would make any PS3 owner want to fast-forward into the future. Some of these titles include Resistance 3, Killzone 3, LBP 2, inFamous 2, R&C: All 4 One, GT5, and even the return of Twisted Metal. That’s a dream team of games right there, but according SCEE president and CEO Andrew House, there’s even more to come.

Speaking at Sony’s presscon at GamesCom, House teased that this year will be a great one for the PlayStation brand as they’ve got more aces up their sleeve. “we’ve heard from Resistance 3 and Ratchet and Clank All 4 One, along side games such as infamous 2, Sorcery, GT5, Killzone 3, and a few more we’ve yet to share…” he said. “This is going to be a stellar year for PlayStation”

Sony has had a great year so far with the release of titles such as Heavy Rain and God of War III. With the rain of big sequels already announced, it’s kinda hard to think of more to add to that list. Who cares? That’s very welcome news.
