More GT5 Information from Gamescom

Looks like some new information has been posted over at the Official Blog. To start, B-Spec mode is back (where you’re basically the ‘Team Director’ and you use your driver’s strengths and techniques to direct him through a race toward victory. From other reports I read, it’s a lot more in-depth than B-Spec modes of the past, but it’s still not for everyone (after all, why get a racing game and not race?). A-Spec mode, of course, will be the biggest draw, since that actually puts you in the driver’s seat.

The Garage will allow you to own multiple cars, and the whole sorting system has been re-done to make finding specific rides MUCH easier. You still purchase cars from dealerships (both new and used), as well as be able to take your vehicles to tuning shops for body kits and new parts. No idea if you’re able to paint your cars any color you want, though.

Portal 2 Release Date Announced

Geoff Keighley, you know the Video Game Journalist and Host of Spike TV’s GTTV. Well earlier today he tweeted that Portal 2 is getting a launch date of February 9th, 2011. He also mentioned that GTTV will have more details on that this coming Friday, so stay tuned in for that. You know at this point I am not sure if I want to try Portal which does look awesome, or just see how they integrate Steam into the PS3. Enjoy the trailer from gamescom 2010:

gamescom: DC Universe Online Trailer

Hmmm, so many things to ponder, go the hero route and be a savior, or become a villain and destroy? For those of you who haven’t decided there is still sometime to think about it. DC Universe Online releases the 2nd of November on the PC and PS3, but for now just watch the trailer:

Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One, Hitting the PS3

Chad Dezern the Studio Director of Insomniac Games dropped by the Official PS3 Blog today to announce their new project that they have been brewing in their secret shack called “Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One since January 2009. Don’t know about any of you but maybe we should throw them into this secret shack they speak of more often. Not that their previous games weren’t any good but who doesn’t love new games right?
