For some odd reason, Metal Gear’s 25th Anniversary celebrations are still going on. Spike’s VGA 10 after party was actually the after party for the awards show coupled with MG 25th anniversary. Yes it’s strange as Konami already threw a party for them at PAX PRIME Seattle which I attended as well.
In any case, the event was filled with surprises. Oly and I met great people among the industry and got to party with the whole Konami crew. As expected, the awards show was long and once again over produced. Never the less, we still had a great time! Here are the pictures!

The Last of Us Campaign Co-Op Nonexistent
Posted by PAUL FIERCE in PAX West, QuickNews, The Last of Us on August 9th, 2012
Videos and screenshots tell a tale of upcoming games. The Last Of Us foreshadows something along the lines of a possible co-op campaign gameplay, however, we’ve all been mislead. Niel Druckmann, the Creative Director of The Last of Us, said in an interview with gamingexaminer.com :
“We are supporting multiplayer with The Last of Us. We’re not ready to talk about the details of how multiplayer will be implemented, however we can say that it is not co-op within the main campaign.”
Stay tuned as I will be onsite covering PAX PRIME 2012 in Seattle to bring you the latest news from Naughty Dog and more. The Last of Us is scheduled to be released sometime in 2013. nonexistent
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Gameplay
Posted by Ace in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Media, PAX West, PS3, PS3 software on August 26th, 2011

GTTV’s revealed the first real trailer for Valve’s upcoming shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, as more information on the game become apparent from playtests at the company’s headquarters in Washington.
Gaming sites report that while PC gamers will enjoy its normal control options open to them, with Xbox 360 gamers only able to use a gamepad, PS3 owners will have the option of either a DualShock, PlayStation Move and even a keyboard and mouse. I believe that’s worth mentioning again — keyboard and mouse. On your very own PS3.
