Sword Art Online -Hollow Fragment- is an RPG from Namco Bandai Games, that follows the first season of the Sword Art Online anime. I purchased it the day it released last year, and played it a lot! Earlier this year, the Official Playstation Blog announced that this game had ranked #1 in the 2014 PS Vita PSN sales, so I decided it was time to review it to let you know what it is all about.
The story of Hollow Fragment takes place right after the events of the first arc of the first season of SAO (without spoiling anything, this is at the 75th floor of the Aincrad). The game was supposed to end there, but due to a glitch, players have been warped to the 76th floor instead of being freed from SAO.
NIS America has let us try their new rogue-like RPG The Awakened Fate Ultimatum a few days ahead of its release (March, 17th in NA and March 20th in Europe)! This game is a sequel to The Guided Fate Paradox, which we reviewed late last year. Today, I’m writing a quick preview on my impressions of the early segment of the game, so do expect a full review closer to the game’s launch!
With Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number coming out this week, I figured it was time to revisit one of my favorite games and my very first review… Hotline Miami!
If you are unfamiliar with the game it is an overhead brutal murder/puzzle game. Sounds odd but it works. The art style of the game looks like a cross between what the Nintendo and Super Nintendo could do. Since the game takes place in 1989, it gives it that extra authentic feel. With solid gameplay and a funky art style, it’s extra surprising that the real star of this show is the music. The music in Hotline Miami has an excellent feel for late 80’s electronica. You need to be wearing a pair of headphones when playing.
Minutes from Red Phantom Games, is a simple but addictive puzzle game where everything and anything moving or acting around you can be completely deadly or very rewarding, all depending on its color.
