To enter the contest, submit a photo of yourself in your Halloween Costume or a photo of your Pumpkin in the comments below. Your picture must include a visible sign with “PS3Blog.net” written on it.
Cut off date for posting your photo is November 2nd at the stroke of midnight! Do not post photos from past years, photo must be from this year. If you would like to show off your costumes/pumpkins from past years, please do so here
On November 3rd I will create a poll and let the readers decide what is the best costume/pumpkin. It will run until November 7th at 8 am mountain time, then I’ll award the winners!
Starting Oct. 16th, and every Saturday through Halloween, PSN is “offering a FREE ‘Midnight’ movie rental from 5pm PST to 3am PST.” All three films will be SD (unfortunately), but what the heck, they’re FREE!! The movies will be the following:
Bram Stoker’s Dracula will be available Saturday night from 5pm PST 10/16/2010 and ending 3am PST 10/17/2010.
Savage County will be available Saturday night from 5pm PST 10/23/2010 and ending 3am PST 10/24/2010.
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) will be available Saturday night from 5pm PST 10/30/2010 and ending 3am PST 10/31/2010.
PSN also has great Halloween movie and TV show deals going on each week in October, so be sure to check them out. More information can be found on their Halloween Fright Flicks page.
For those of you that don’t join us in the live chat often you really should, sometimes random giveaways happen, people post funny stuff a lot, good times all around. I also changed the pop sound for a new message to something more Halloween appropriate, try it out.
You may have noticed that the top banner image looks a little different.
Think you can do better? Here is the image, have at it, please keep the PlayStation Shapes in the exact same position as they are. But feel free to make it spooky, funny, scary, etc. This is a family site, so keep that in mind. Some blood is fine if you want to go there.
Post a link to your modified header image in the comments. I’ll be changing it every day with a new photo you have created. If there isn’t a new one to replace it I’ll just rotate threw the photos daily until a new photo is created. Have fun! To see what your custom header looks like on the live site. You need to download a Firefox Extension called Firebug. Here is how to do it. If you couldn’t tell I love Halloween. It’s my favorite holiday.
If I end up using your image I’ll give you 75 points!
We will also be having a costume contest! More details later.
