Point Slot Machine – Get Extra Entries Into Giveaways!

When giveaways are active, make sure to get another extra entry by unlocking the Point Slot Machine page. Once unlocked you can go to the bottom of the page and click the images to get your extra entry. Most of the time this extra entry will be available for you. Sometimes we will do something different with the bonus URL entry and you need to check the giveaway post for more details.

I can’t think of any sites off hand that do global giveaways. So when I took over PS3Blog.net in May 2009, one of my main priorities was hosting global giveaways. We always strive to do global giveaways a majority of the time because we have readers who view the site from across the globe. Plus, it’s fun to provide prizes to those in other countries. Does it cost more to ship? Yes. Is it worth it. Absolutely! I have created a dedicated page on this site with a embedded Google Map of the winners cities.
Earn 125 Points
This map does not contain a full list of all the physical/digital winners. So we need your help to get it as up to date as possible. If you have ever won something from PS3Blog.net and don’t see your city on the map. Please leave a comment below with your city, state or province & country. If you can remember what you won, let us know as well. I won’t include any names/usernames on this map unless you really want it to show. As a thank you, I’ll give you 125 points.
Just a quick note. Unless it specifies in the giveaway post that it’s restricted to a certain region, it would be a global giveaway. Thank you for all the support over the years. Looking forward to many more giveaways!
Point Slot Machine – Unlock 2X or 3X Multiplier!

Some of you may have noticed this already. But you can now use points to unlock 2X or 3X multiplier on the point slot machine for 1 spin. It’s 20 points to unlock the 2X and 45 to unlock the 3X. Good luck!
PS3Blog.net Point Betting Leaderboard

This has been on my to-do list for quite some time. So I created 2 shortcodes. One will display those that have won the most points from all bets. The other will show total points bet. I’ve included it on this post so you can see it in action. You can also see it on the point leader board at the bottom. We have several bets going right now for the NFL games this weekend. Thank you Kane112 for setting those up!
Keep a eye in the sidebar right above the last 5 comments. Here we will list bets setup by the community. If you have any ideas on what else we could bet on, please let us know in this forum topic.
How To Unlock The Full 7 Slots In The Point Slot Machine

There are multiple ways you can unlock the full 7 slots (default is now 5).
Below is a list of actions you can do and yes it’s stackable!
- 1 Day Access = Listen to the PS3BlogCast & enter the secret word
- 1 Day Access = Right answer on Free Points Saturday
- 1 Day Access = Points for joining a game night
- 1 Day Access = Total blog post count is even
- 1 Day Access = Every 10th Comment
- 7 Day Access = Post a review
- 7 Day Access = Part of the PS3BlogCast
Another way to get access to the 7 slots is to visit the slot machine page when there are 6 or more people in the chatroom recently.
The criteria to unlock the slot machine each day has changed slightly. Now you must do the follow to unlock it each day:
Comment on a blog post in the past 4 days
Post in the forum in the past 2 days
Get daily chat room points within the past 24 hours.
