Try Your Luck At The New Point Slot Machine

Spent the last couple days finishing up this idea that has been on the back burner for a while now. We now have a point slot machine! You get 1 spin a day. But in order to unlock it each day you must do two things.
Get your daily chatroom points.
Post in the forum within the past 24 hours.
Once you do that, you have access to spin. Normally there is a 1 in 25 chance of getting 7 slots instead of the normal 3. But, say for example 5 people where in the chatroom recently. You would now have a 1 in 20 chance of getting 7 slots. So the more people in the chatroom, you have better odds of getting the full 7 slots and a chance for a lot of points.

Usually when we do a giveaway it’s because the company behind the product gave us the item(s) to giveaway. So I created a way for you to earn points when you like their Facebook page and follow them on Twitter. You can earn 75 points for each like/follow. Your first chance to take advantage of this in the 4Gamers Stereo Gaming Headset giveaway. We will use this new feature in all future giveaways, if they have a Facebook Page or Twitter.

I’ve added a new feature today. It is now possible to earn 20 points when you visit the chat room everyday! This may be higher during certain days, so be sure to visit often. Click the link in the chatroom notice (which shows after you join the room as a blue link) to get your points for the day. I added the link to the chatroom in the main menu across the top for easy access. Come chat with us!
New Feature For PS3Blog.net Betting System

Over the past few days I have reworked & optimized a lot of the backend coding of the betting system we use here at PS3Blog.net, but I won’t bore you with the techie details. I also threw in a new feature for everyone. After you place your bet you will see a new link below the betting logs. When you click this, it will show what everyone would win if that bet won. Make sure to clear you cache if that link isn’t working properly. If you have any suggestions for the giveaway or betting system please let me know here.

After much searching and testing we have found a winner! When you post images or videos with this new chat, you can view them right in the chatroom. Pretty cool stuff. You can easily have private chats with other members too.
This is available only to members of PS3Blog.net so be sure to register, so you can join in on the fun we have in the chatroom. When you go to the chatroom page, it will pre-fill your nickname with your display name from PS3Blog.net which is handy.
Captcha is GONE, thank goodness! All you have to do is pick your nickname and connect. We sometimes do giveaways or post the bonus url link for getting a extra entry into giveaways in the chatroom.
This works well on mobile devices too. So far we have tested Palm Pre, Android & iPad and all work great! The link for the mobile version is on the chatroom page – http://www.ps3blog.net/chatroom/

Ok, chatroom is in the sidebar. If you click menu and select “Hide userlist” then it will take the full width of the sidebar. I still prefer the full size chat myself. But for those who love the sidebar chat. Well there you go 
The sidebar chatroom will only appear on the home page though.
