At this year's SEMA, ProCharger is showing off its new i-1 ProCharger, which is essentially a programmable-ratio supercharger. It allows the charger to create a constant boost pressure at any given RPM using technology similar to that of a CVT (continuously variable transmission). You can create a custom setup, or choose from 3 other pre-programmed modes, allowing you to run at almost no boost to save on fuel economy, to an all-out beast, without the need of popping the hood and changing pulleys and belts.

I was thinking of going with a twin turbo setup on my dream engine, but if these guys can get to the point where they're creating 30 pounds of boost, I may just opt for one of these, resulting in less plumbing and far less heat.
