I have not seen a way to change your PSN ID to another and keep your trophy data. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I thought I heard that PS3 owners in Japan have this feature.

I had a PS3 break so I got a replacement and lost one of my 5 active accounts.  I currently dont have access to download video.  I would hope I can call Sony support to get my account active access to get video from the PS store

They're a little more lenient with the video activation versus the game activation

hmm, looks like Qriocity doesn't allow access to see what devices you have activated for PSP and PS3 now.

Nice thread and is really helpful for people that dont know about how it works.

I have had some experience as well, be ware that if you activate your PSN account on your ps3 then it breaks or you sell it, there is no way to deactivate it. Unfortunately this happened to me when my ps3 broke, you can ring up Sony and ask for them to deactivate all your accounts however they are quite hesitant because they think people have been game sharing.

Hope this helps,

what happened exactly?

I have one question regarding this topic.

From all I gathered, if I get a new PS3 I can't have the same PSN ID and carry my trophies? That was a little bit confusing to me.
