I'm fine with my fatty 60GB PS3 for now. I have a 160GB hard drive in it anyway, plus 4 USB ports.
Anyway you going to upgrade? Or for the non PS3 owners, will you buy fat or slim?
I may pick this up if I can sell my 60 GB BC PS3 to someone, it just takes up too much room. I move around too much.
I'm still running the original 60 GB I got in 2006, and don't have any burning need to replace it. Large 2.5\" SATA drives are getting really cheap, so I'll probably just upgrade the hard drive one of these days.
Back when the PS2 was king, I did go for the slim version, but that was because my original giant sized PS2 was worn out; the PS3 seems to be a lot more durable than the first gen PS2.
nah no slim for me. but its interesting seeing that so many people want to replace their current models (observation over a few different forums). Should lead to some very nice sales.
I've been wanting a smaller version for the PS3 for quite some time, I move around states a lot. Houses as well.
I got one over my old one it broke after 2 years but I fixed it 4 times from tutorials involving a heat gun :D.
The slim has a wider base than the fat one. Your trading height for a larger footprint.
I really don\'t like the Slim look. I much prefer the old style so I won\'t be intentionally replacing mine. It would be cool to see my AVR display Dolby True HD and DTS HD-MA though. But it isn\'t worth buying a Slim just for that. The lossless sound doesn\'t change!
