I still have my non-dualshock controller I got with my fat PS3 back in 2007 I believe.

When it is running out of battery, I just get closer to the TV and plug it in. But yeah, there is the odd time when I know I'll need the controller to be charged to play and do use the TV since it is pretty much on 24/7 hahaha.
