basically what is happening is when i turn on the ps3, i start off on the whats new menu, however this is now blank, when i press x to enter it, it just comes up with the above error code. I can still get online and go to the psn shop. it is just annoying, and i have checked the code list on here and cannot find it.

Desperatly seeking help

Leon

Turn off your PS3 and hold the power button until you hear a 3rd beep. Try some of the options on that screen.

the only way you'd lose saves is if you were to format the hard drive, so you'll be fine

I\'m not sure what the Restore File System or Rebuild Database do exactly.

But I\'ve heard of people choosing Rebuild Database and that fixes a lot of issues.

I would do a full system backup before you do anything though.

I believe the restore file system is the same as formatting the drive
