If anyone finds out what the error code is for let me know so I can add it to the error code list.
apparently its a server-side issue and nothing to do with the hardware (I was looking it up). What you can try is resetting your network connection and see if that helps. If not, you'll most likely have to wait. The PSN was down for a bit earlier this week for maintenance, so it could have affected it then (apparently, you're not the only one with the issue, and a lot are from this week). Nothing to worry about, though. It's a similar issue to the trophies not syncing properly. It's just a matter of Sony getting the issue fixed on their end.

I got the same error, started a couple of days ago and hasn't resolved itself yet. I get the impression it's not a problem with the PS3 as what's new is items from net. Home & PSN store work fine though

the same thing has happened to me after i undated my ps3 to the latest update ( i think 3.15?) and now the whats new comes up with this error. ill wait to see if it gets fixed though….the other thing was when i try to play games online a similar error pops up, i dont know what that is now…
hi, i have spoken to scee uk about the issue, they were quite helpful and apologetic. they accept that something has gone wrong on their end ( as jimmymagnum has said) and they are working on a fix for those affected, however if you have code come up then you need to register the fault with them. this can be done via email.. if needed i will post the link.. without them being told then they cannot get the depth of the problem.
