Why I LOVE the Kevin Butler commercial itself, they gotta be joking with this new gimmick. Why would one EVER use this thing over a controller. Possibly if you play your games on a projector and actually could look around the entire screen. But how much can a standard tv even show? I have a 32 inch i think, and i can already pan the whole scren just by flicking my wrist, let alone moving my whole arm.
I say of those 20% of players who ever try it, 90% will bring it back and use a controller.
So thoughts? Anyone used this thing? Is it another SUPER SCOPE liek NES?
The Sharpshooter is pretty awesome…if you have a huge tv. Like you said, just minute movements can get you across you the whole screen. I tried it on a 72" Sony tv and it worked amazingly. After awhile tho you have to recalibrate and that kinda sucks. It's really fun but in my opinion the classic 'controller' will always win.
I don't have the sharpshooter but I do use move. I think it's a lot more fun than using the DS3. But I generally prefer pointer controls over twin sticks.
It is an accessory for Playstation Move, the Move controller basically sits in the plastic gun. So it kind of works like a lightgun but require much more subtle movements.
The sharpshooter was fun during campaign and easy enough to use on the harder difficulty. But I've never dared to use it online. I would only use it online if they offered a mode that was sharpshooters only.
hmmm, lots of mixed experiences, but it seems the overall majority of those who like it actually like it a LOT. I wish I had the money to do it myself…
