X-Com takes a looong time to Platinum….
forgot to download these last night, hopefully we still get good games after ps4 drops.
i purchased them through the web store and need to download today. I do that for all plus stuff now, so i own it but don't need to kill my bandwidth if i'm not gong to play it.
@The_Nmac: Same here. Since my PS3 only has 5 GB left of space, I just use the web store to add them to my collection and download when I have space. Need to keep those 5 GB open for review purposes hehehe.
Do you think the PS4 games will do that too if you don't get one at launch? I know you could do it with Vita. Still so much we don't know.
@The_Nmac: Haven't heard about that possibility yet. I'd guess it would be a NO since the current SEN store set up is for PS3 and Vita and, unless they do a separate PS4 SEN store or a HUGE update to the currrent webstore, we'll be screwed.
Still, at $400 that weird and slanted black box is doing it's job to try and break the cycle of "getting Sony's console/portable 2-3 years after launch". The "No BC" thing is a huge dealbreaker for me since I have 200 PSN games and 40 retails discs that I can't play on PS4. If it was BC, I 'd just buy a PS4, do a system transfer, and carry on. You know, like on Wii U.
I can see that. There is still hope through Gaikai for BC. I just need to keep my PS3 for now. It's great the Wii U was easy, too bad it's not next gen.
@The_Nmac: Now, now, it IS next gen. Remember, gens aren't measured by the size of the RAM, but by the GENERATION of console releases. GC, PS2 and Xbox, Wii, PS3 and 360, Wii U, PS4 and XBO. Also, no other console has a controller like the Wii U or the community aspect of Miiverse. Finally, I have a Wii U RIGHT NOW and I can play games RIGHT NOW, not in November-December.
I've heard debates on either side of the coin with Wii U and next gen status. Based on it's sales it's in trouble, the people i know at Gamestop can't give them away and haven't had to increase the size of their game section for it as there have been almost no new releases. Not sure if Megaman in Smash Bros can save that system.
On a side note who's excited for Saint's Row 3. Haven't' played yet but it's on plus now.
@The_Nmac: As I've said before, let's talk in March and see how the PS4 and the XBO did in their first 6 months after launch. Wii U is currently at 3.5 million units sold, which is more than zero.
PS4 at $400 will probably do better than XBO at $500, but I don't see either selling more than 2 million in the first six months since you have to add the cost of a $60 game to that equation AND a $50 a year service to enjoy the full potential of games. That's $500+Tax and $610+Tax and, in this economy, that don't fly.
