Because if you don't innovate and bring something new to the table then you're just copying everyone else. No change means you're getting the same experience but with prettier pictures.

@BabaOBooey: Imagine if Sony FINALLY goes ahead with the boomerang for the PS4? It's one of the things I don't like about Sony. All their controllers have been the same and that shows there's no innovation on their part...
