Well PS3 is running fine. I have a timer by the PS3 that I set for 2 hours so I know when to get it a small break. Tried to back it up but didn't complete in under 2 hrs so I deleted some stuff I didn't need anymore and trying again.

So sorry to hear that! On Christmas day no less. Gophermods doesn't open again until Monday January 4th, 2011. They said on their site they are moving to a newer shop. Hopefully that GPU RSX Reball Service becomes available after they open back up. You could call them and ask if they have a ETA on that. Keep us updated.

Tosh how much did they charge you to repair it? Also isn't 200 hours like only 8 1/2 days?? Why did they say wait 2 months??
It was only $69.99 but I also got the 6 month warranty for $29.99 just in case I wanted to sell it later I could give the buyer some reassurance. But it does come with a free 60 day (2 month) warranty. That's probably why they want you to be gentle with it for 2 months. I'm planning on keeping it though.
i was able to get mine fixed on craigslist for about 35$.
and then my girlfriend just bought me another one for christmas.
