The same thing happened to me last March and my NBA live 10 got stuck inside. To get it out I used the hair dryer and fan trick to fix the YLOD. Which is to heat up the ps3 with a hair dryer for 15 minutes, then cool it off with a fan for 10 minutes. The YLOD is then fixed and should be fixed temporarily untill it overheats again. This obviously will give you time to eject. Worked for me :D
I had the same problem with my 80gb a week ago. I am just going to invest in a slim but is there a way to get saved game data off my 80gb with the ylod?

You could go to gophermods.com and get this service to have the RSX reflowed (to temporarily fix the YLOD; Tosh had it done and it's still lasting him quite a while) so you can do a transfer of everything onto the slim and still have a system that might work for you a bit longer. Would probably be the best way to go since many games are locked to the system itself
Forgot to update you guys after the break in period. Which happened a few weeks ago. Be slowing running it longer and longer. No issues at all. Longest play time so far is 6 hours.
Well tonight I was watching a DVD movie and it shut off and blinked red …
Turned it back on, watched a bit more and it did it again. I'm still within my extended 6 month warranty with gophermods. So hopefully they can repair it… I'm awaiting to hear back from them.
