I was having the same issue with blu-ray movies, so after a few months of an unstable ps3 with Internet to boot, it is now back up and running normal. Thanks for solving my issue.

They wouldn't show up on the XMB, and I could hear the disc spin but nothing was happening, and the system then did this funny eject thing.
