With the rather embarrassing Portal 2 announcement came another shocking announcement, Steam on PS3. If you missed the announcement heres the video.

I am curious as to what you think Steam will bring to the ps3? We already know its going to enable cross platform for Portal 2. We know its going to have valve pumping micro updates, but what else can it bring to the table? The beauty of Steam on the pc is it allows the user to purchase a title and not worry about having to manually find the update via the publisher site and go through the process of updating in a particular order which is common in the PC gaming community. Truly a user friendly experience, but for the PS3 we have that already via the ever so familiar if not sometimes dreadful (think Gran Turismo 5 668mb update) update found.
