So what\'s does everyone think about this?
Personal I don\'t really care much about it, it\'s cool that it\'s there as an option but it\'s not something that I thought was a priority. Anyways I did manage to turn the trophies on right before I got the Uncharted 2 Crushing Trophy so that I can rub it in my friends $%#$ing face! 😀
I rarely use Facebook as it is, and this won\'t change that. I have just over 20 friends on Facebook. I try to limit my friends on Facebook since they also sync with my Palm Pre 😛
But I think it\'s a fun idea, but these kinds of updates are better suited for Twitter instead of Facebook.
Yeah to be honest with you I don\'t have a lot of friends on there either, I only try to keep people that I actually communicate with often. Not some b.s. list of how I have 200 friends who I never even met.
Twitter would be a good idea for this but I use that even less. This gives me the ability to spam the hell out of my facebook friends with trophies I received 😉
I think the whole purchase portion of the facebook application is silly. Why would I want my friends to know how much I spend in the store?
I'd care about the trophy feature if more of my friends were gamers and that sort of thing mattered to them, but do I really need my mother-in-law getting updates about the latest platinum I received?
At least we can still use the browser somewhat for facebook and if firefox is really coming that would be even better
I will use this feature about as much as the Youtube upload feature they added a while ago, which is to say not at all. I can't think of a situation where I have ever wanted to automatically update my Facebook status based on what I was doing on a console.
Instead, what they should do is make it easy to go to Facebook on the PS3, ie save your account details somewhere and then sign in. Add support for stuff like Facebook and you have a Killer App.
PS3 should get full facebook access. You should be able to use facebook similarly to how you would on a computer. Since few of my friends own a PS3, the publishing of trophies and store purchases is rather pointless to me. But, I do use FaceBook alot, and perhaps even being able to fully use it through the XMB while gaming would be great.
heres hoping that supposed deal between Mozilla and Sony is true and will bring a firefox browser to replace the one the PS3 currently has (the one they use now is a little-known 3rd party browser. given that fact, Sony should have went with something more popular and mainstream like Firefox to begin with).
The browser on the PS3 used to allow you to use facebook in a similar fashion as a computer, but apparently has been broken since before 3.1 came out. I know this because I was without a working computer for a while and used my PS3's browser for everything instead
This may not be good idea... I link mind up last night... got to playing GOW and 1st trophie to post.... " Getting my @$$ kicked " in bronze. This is for dying so many times that it offered me to do this in eazy mode. Most of my facebook freinds are people I work with... for years Ive been know as someone who does not get their @$$ kicked... That's all changed now.

Way to funny!
I love the facebook integration. I use it and sometimes over use it hehe. I play games in spurts...30 min here..hour there and I take breaks. So I\'m like \"ahh..got a trophy and I\'m done playing for the day....let me sync up\" and it shows up on facebook. But an hour later I\'m like \"damn.....I wanna play some more....\" and proceed to get another trophy. I\'ll repeat this 3-4 times a day sometimes lol.
but yes...I like it...it looks cool...and I have gamer friends on facebook.
