i agree with Pedro "playing video games" for a 5yo today is different. it's different vs playing for "older kids/adults" and it's different from when we were five.

In the 8 bit age games were simple. you could play Super Mario Bros. it's a simple game, there are only two buttons and it's VERY responsive....

@Pedro: That's because you didn't introduce your cousin to gaming at an early age! My sister completed Super Mario Bros when she was 4. She's now 12 and playing Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Kirby and Zelda, to name a few.

the true question is, is the child capable of actually playing video games? Seriously, my 5 years old cousin sucks so bad at playing it just makes me furious when I have to "play" with him. I prefer doing something not video-game related. I also think it's better for the kid.

try some of the downloadable games. If you need a disc game you can start with whatever movie she likes.. Cars, Madagascar etc. But the DLC stuff you'll have better luck with. Let me check my trophy list see if i can give titles..
