Trophy Set Error says no trophies, should I Recover HD?

Oddest thing, one of my trophy sets (Astro Tripper) says no trophies under it's menu list. I don't know what happened to the trophy file? The game has trophies and I obtained some of them. I deleted the game save and did a new install of the game with no luck on fixing it.

My Question: Do you think an HD recovery (tips & tricks post) would solve my problem?

Thanks

i've never heard of a problem like that… i've installed, played and deleted dozens of games with trophies and this never happened. i don't really think recovering your HD will help because trophies are synced to your psn id, so if you've ever done that while you still had the trophies it should be there.

have you tried replaying the game for the first trophy (usually very easy and quick to get) and seeing if that "rings" a new trophy? if that's the case it would seem they're really gone.

When I go to Trophies (in the XMB) and scroll to the Astro Tripper set (which says 4% next to it)…

Game > Trophies > Astro Tripper >  "There are no Trophies".

I performed Restore File System & Rebuild Database which didn't help. I also performed the restore file system again (after it supposedly fixed the corrupt files) and it still read as there being corrupt files.

My new plan was to complete one of the trophies I didn't have for the game and see if it would register. Surprisingly enough, the trophy popped and after re-syncing my trophy list… the problem was solved.

Although, I am puzzled… after repeated completion of the Restoring File System procedure, it continuously still reads as having corrupt files when I perform that operation. I have no further complications with my PS3, so maybe it is just reading a movie or mpeg file that happens to be messy.

Any thoughts from the communtiy?

I have the same problem with Just Cause 2, but I suspect I need to unlock another trophy to get it back I think.
