Was looking for some news to post, and came across this:
http://www.gamesindustry.biz/a…..re-weisman
it was pretty interesting
I couldn\'t read the entire article because I didn\'t sign up, but what is the author crying about?
FASA Interactive founder Jordan Weisman has spoken out about Microsoft\'s acquisition of his highly-regarded studio, saying that the corporation \"destroyed\" its development culture and came close to doing the same with Halo developer Bungie.
How did they acquire it in the first place? He had to sell out for that to happen. If he didn\'t want them to kill it he should have either had that in the contract or sell out. Most of the times companies will buy out a company but won\'t even use the team, they just kill the studio and that\'s that.
They came close to doing the samething with Bungie? Doesn\'t Bungie still make games for them? They were acquired by Microsoft and then split from them… who knows maybe it was because MS was dragging them down but why still make games for them?
It\'s typical of people to sell out because you get a crap load of money but then you don\'t like what\'s being done and you cry about it.
