Did anyone else see the pilot? Wow that was bad. Never heard of it.. read the wikipedia page which for some odd reason had a very detailed synopsis of the pilot episode under the series "Plot" so I went into watching this first episode knowing pretty much what was going on. And STILL I couldn't make sense of it.
I'm wondering if I need to hang around with more white people because I couldn't tell who was who in that show and who was supposed to be good or bad or what. Then you add on top of that the single episode is covering three different time lines
- Protag was a little girl
- Protag just arrived back in Hamptons plotting revenge
- Protag is at her engagement party 5 months later
On top of that pretty much noone is introduced. I often complain about TV shows treating the audience like we're all five year olds and I was just hearing someone say that this issue was a problem with Fringe (they never get to develop the characters b/c they're always reestablishing the relationships for the audience) but seriously I read a (as I know now) literal translation of what happened and the fact that I STILL could barely make sense of what was going on doesn't bode well for this Count of Monte Crisco retelling.
For rich people intrigue I might just stick with the Ringer and keep it at that.
I started to watch it, but turned it quick.. couldn't get into it
I saw something about the show but wasn't really interested. From your commentaries on the pilot I think I'll just skip it.
