haha where did i start love when i talk to some americans they dont realize that doctor who has been on for years it just took a breal. seen some of the old ones years ago. then start watching this recent remake when it first started 5 years ago or or whenever it was
hm.. ok then not much else to say. you clearly are familiar enough with the show. i started with the 2005 series and it took me about 10 tries on the behind the scenes episode thingy before i gave up and then 3 tries before I finished Rose. By the third episode I was pretty much in. So if you never made it past the first episode try at least three. but by the way you speak I'm assuming you gave it the old college try. I guess it's not for everyone.
Holy #### New Archer Next Thursday! YEAAAAAAAAAAAH
Other then that I've been psyched up for MLP:FIM every Saturday morning for the past months. (U GOTTA PROBLEM WITH DAT)
And to top it all off I decided I'm never watching The Walking Dead. The game was so bad and boring I've lost all interest in the show I never started watching XD

no to walking dead but yes to MLP? There's no way this show can be that good. I really do have to sit down and watch it one day I saw the first episode and it was alright. The voice acting was great but it was nothing I'd go gaga over.
Walking Dead is very different from the game. It does get a bit slow at times but the payoffs are generally worth the wait. Season 1 at least has very minimalized flaws
it's hard to say because I enjoyed Smallville when i watched it (S1-S2)
But I like Arrow. I have a sorta Dark Knight* problem: That is they don't actually call him "Green Arrow" he's "The Hood". Beyond that it's just a touch more than Smallville was from my recollection. It's less comic bookie think more like "The Cape" except the power isn't quite as stupid. Some pretty subtle DC call outs like his sister's nick name is Speedy. We've seen Slade the Terminator, and Huntress. It's nothing fantastical like Breaking Bad or Entourage (in it's hay day) but it's fun.
* in Dark Knight they gave the joker a normal face that he paints white. I maintain it should have been the other way around.
i'll have to give drwho another shot, at least 3episodes, will try that out.
If you're not anal with regards to continuity and viewing order I might even suggest you start on Season 5. If I recall that was a season that like Season 1 was designed to be a bit more open for newcomers. Plus the Companion Amy Pond is among many fans considered the most attractive although my person favorite appears in Season 4 and one of the best episodes of the new series is in Season 3. Seriously everyone should see "3x10 - Blink". It might be a personal preference but I think it actually surpasses Buffy The Vampire Slayer's "Hush". Problem with "Blink" is that it's not really a good Doctor episode, he's hardly in it which makes it great as a standalone episode to show someone.
Kind of an old thread but has anyone seen Torchwood? A buddy of mine recommended it but after a season, I'm still not digging it that much. Does it get better?
Torchwood does sort of get better. It honestly is most effective if you actually watch Dr Who. And yes DW and TW can be cheesy at times but it's also more sincere than you would think. If you're not going to watch Doctor Who then don't bother with Torchwood. Just watch the Third Series "Children of Earth". That one is actually pretty good and is pretty straightforward.
As a brit sci-fi show it doesn't have the budget of the US counterparts but I think they tend to make it up with writing.
Edit: that Da Vinci show sounds interesting. I'll check it out.
The trailer makes it look a bit like Sanctuary but then i saw flashes of what is probably nudity and it appears to be backed by Starz.
